But, the definition of a professional is not a player that doesn’t make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, even the most tried and true professional athlete. Rather, the test of a professional is how they react to a situation, including a bad mistake. Dubinsky's turnover and his subsequent benching tell us nothing about his grit as a professional. His benching, however, does reveal Tortorella's temper and failure to see the big picture.
