Penguins Dress 20, Rangers 1.

Ho-hum.  Another poor effort.  Another loss.  At least we scored.  Nice to see getting called out in the local papers inspired Anisimov (two goals).  Hopefully he can score again this month without needing someone to light a fire under him.  Happy to see Brashear get some minutes.  (Can you feel the sarcasm?  It’s thick.)  His failure to get the puck in led directly to a goal against.  Back to the luxury box for him, hopefully.  The power play continues to be abysmal.  Is there a Kotalik signing in the future?  Can’t hurt.  Orhow about Gilroy and Del Zotto on the points simultaneously.  You sacrifice a “big” shot (relatively speaking) but gain dual mobility and creativeness.  I actually agree with the Christensen benching, assuming he’s back in the lineup Wednesday.  He just needed a wakeup call after cruising through a couple of games.  (Plus, he gives the best interviews of anyone on the roster.  These days that’s as excited as I can get about a Ranger game.)   There’s no margin for error.  Lundqvist makes one mistake and that’s the game.  Sad.  But perhaps most scarily, for the first time this season I didn’t even see any fight out of Tortorella.  Has he given up too?  We should just call up the Wolfpack for a game.  Maybe the ultimate insult will spur the team to show up.  You get millions to play a game.  At least fake an effort.  I’m too disgusted to write more.
