Sweet Justice

The same day that Brashear goes through waivers, Betts signs a 2-year contract extension.  Brashear’s signing was a mistake from day 1.  He was old, slow, and unnecessary in the new NHL.  And letting Betts go was a mistake as well.  We had one of the top, if not top, PK in the league.  He was well-liked and the type of hard-working reliable player the Rangers are searching for right now.  And it of course especially hurt because of Brashear’s cheap shot which ended Betts’ Ranger career, and basically the Rangers playoffs.  Good riddance Donald.  Good luck Blair.  (Well, not too much good luck.  You are a Flyer.)
