I’m actually sad about this. While like everyone else (unless you live in the Belt this year) I love the upset, especially when it comes from a well-played series. But Washington is fun to watch, and the idea of a Penguins-Caps conference final would have been epic, especially in an Olympic year. I kind of knew this series was over early. Ovechkin did jinx the Caps when he mocked Halak shaking. But what a horrible year for Ovie — 2 suspensions, hits to his rep, an Olympic debacle, and a Stanley Cup meltdown. I hope he plays golf well.
