Yet ANOTHER addition to our prospect pool

Rangers Agree To Terms With Jason Wilson

Sure has been a busy past few days in an otherwise quiet beginning to the offseason, huh? The Rangers have announced the signing of 2010 5th round selection Jason Wilson to a contract. Continue reading to see some information about him as well as a video!

Wilson played as an over-ager for the Niagara Icedogs of the OHL this year and scored 18 goals while also adding 94 penalty minutes. Wilson has always had a bit of offense in him, and he was an over-ager, but I don’t think anyone expected him to produce that much offensively. Wilson compares to Brandon Prust but is much bigger. He’s a grinder and will drop the gloves, but he also can contribute some scoring. He projects as a bottom 6 winger in the NHL if all goes as planned. He’s almost definitely going to play in Connecticut next year.

Here’s video of Wilson absolutely clobbering someone at this season’s Traverse City Tournament.
