Could Jagr really come back to the Rangers? At least from his perspective, it’s a possibility. Jagr helped the Czech Republic win a bronze medal at the World Championships today, and after the game he was asked about a potential return to the NHL. Continue reading to see what he had to say:
“Maybe it would be still fun to go back to NHL. Maybe Pittsburgh. Maybe Montreal. Maybe New York.”
All three of those have been speculated destinations for Jagr, so for him to say that confirms the speculation. It’s now beyond the thinking of, “Jagr excelled here before, so maybe he can come back!” There is legitimate reason to believe that a Rangers-Jagr reunion is, at the very least, plausible. Jagr also said that he hasn’t gotten an offer from his KHL team, Avangard Omsk, which likely means that he won’t be in the KHL next season. Looks like it’s NHL or bust for Jagr, though a return to his home country is also a possibility.
