Game 5 1994 Stanley Cup Finals

Heading into Game 5 back at Madison Square Garden, the Rangers should have heeded the saying, “Never count your chickens before they hatch.”

The date of the victory parade had already been set–but there was one problem, the Rangers were outplayed and outscored and lost the game 6-3, sending the series back to Vancouver for Game 6 with New York leading 3 games to 2.

Take a look at a clip of Pavel Bure scoring Vancouver’s third goal of the game, giving the Canucks a 3-0 lead early in the final period.
