Thankfully, I rode out and survived Irene. My area did get touched with some heavy rains and damaging winds but not nearly as severe as different parts of New Jersey, New York, and the Carolinas. Looking outside today, you wouldn’t even think a hurricane ripped through. It’s sunny, cool, and dry; the perfect day after an imperfect weekend. Hopefully the millions without power will be restored sooner rather than later and collectively we can move on.
