NHL All-Star Voting Begins Today, Time To Get Dan Girardi In

Dan Girardi, All-Star write-in this season? It's up to you! (Photo by Jana Chytilova/Freestyle Photography/Getty Images)

I’ll admit it; I have a huge man-crush on Dan Girardi but only for his hockey skills. All the man does is play his position soundly, block shots like its nobody’s business, and takes a physical beating game in and game out. Does he get the accolades he deserves? Not nearly enough in the “ass-backwards” NHL he plays in.

Blue Line Station has been trying to get the word out on Girardi for the past week, plugging Bleeding All Blue’s attempts to get Girardi’s name on jerseys and shirts at MSG for fans to by.

Today, we take it a step further. Join me after the jump to find out.

This past week, Kevin DeLury of THE New York Rangers Blog implored all Rangers fan to write in Dan Girardi for this year’s All-Star game (similar to his Sean Avery campaign last season, although this time its for a player who actually deserves to be in the game), which you can do so here. You can’t forget to vote for the other Rangers on the ballot as well.

You can vote for Girardi 30 times a day through the online ballot, texting Girardi to the shortcode 81812 (Message and data rates may apply) or through the mobile ballot available on iPhone, Android and other mobile devices.

Let’s get Dan Girardi in the All-Star game this year, the man deserves some national recognition!!
