Monday Morning (PP) Quarterback: Recapping November 18-20

Carl Hagelin continues to impress (rangers.nhl.com)

So the Rangers laid an egg in Montreal. Is anyone really surprised? By now, a good Rangers performance at the Bell Center is as scarce as a Scott Gomez goal, well, anywhere. Those same faults that we saw on Saturday night have been present through much of the Rangers winning streak, it’s just far easier to dissect them when you’re not getting it done on the scoreboard.

One thing that is worth noting though, as Blueshirt Banter alluded to this morning, is the long gaps between games that the Rangers currently find themselves contending with. Playing well and winning games, it’s not ideal to be out of action for three to four days. Nor is it ideal to sit idle for three days after a stinker of a loss at the end of a seven-game winning streak. But hey, them’s the breaks and you’ve got to deal with them.

Join me after the jump as I round up the weekend’s Ranger reads…
