Andre Deveaux Has A Hearing With The NHL Today

Andre Deveaux will meet with the NHL today in order to discuss hit hit on Tomas Fleischmann last night, which resulted in a five minute major and a game misconduct. Deveaux elbowed Fleischmann in the head as he was cutting across center ice. The meeting means that Deveaux will likely be suspended by the NHL. Deveaux did seem remorseful post-game, but it surely will not be enough to avoid suspension. I believe Deveaux is looking at 3-5 games for the hit, and it would be the right decision for sure.

The Rangers have not had a suspended player since 2008, when Ryan Hollweg was suspended for a hit from behind in the playoffs against the Penguins.
