Rangers Unveil New Winter Classic Jerseys

The Winter Classic Sweater

On Monday the Rangers unveiled the jersey they will don for the 2012 Winter Classic. The jerseys are a throwback to the old Rangers logo which was the shield. The jersey itself will go on sale for the fans on December 5th when the Rangers host the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Garden.

Henrik Lundqvist added that he will be wearing a new mask just for the Winter Classic. He said it will look like it’s “Been in the closet for 40 years”. I think it’s going to be pretty cool because Henrik has sported some nice looking masks over the years.

Personally I like the jerseys. I think they give a throwback feel and aren’t too complex with the design. I’m also a fan of the off white cream color of the jersey. I’ve heard some mixed reviews by fellow fans but I think they are more upset because it will cost them $220 (yeah it is a bit much).

Now that the wait for the jersey is over we can all be psyched for the game which I think will be a great one.
