New York Rangers Top Five Goals From December 2011

It is time for us to review December and pick out to top five goals from the month. The New York Rangers scored a total of 47 goals in December and many of them were significant, impressive, or both. I could have made a top 15 or top 20 video for December because the pool of goals I had to select from were incredibly strong. No doubt some goals from this month that didn’t make the cut would have made it in previous editions. So here it is, the top five goals by the Rangers from December.

This month there were so many great and important goals that it took me a lot longer to decide on the top five and its order than usual. The only one I was sure of was Richards’ goal being number one because of the insanity and dramatics of the situation as well as how it ended a mini-slump the team was enduring and was the catalyst for a new string of wins. I think Stepan and Anisimov’s goals are pretty close but the celebration edged Artie into the #2 slot. As for the fifth goal, I literally considered at least five different options before ultimately deciding on Del Zotto’s deke that led to Hagelin’s goal.
