As the clock strikes 2:00PM, the NHL Trade Deadline now heads into a sprint for the finish line and it appears the New York Rangers are making a late run at Rick Nash. It’s also believed that Rick Nash is also pushing for a deal to be completed before the 3:00PM deadline. If that’s the case, it dampers Columbus’ negotiating stance if they’re being pressured by the franchise’s star player and Glen Sather and the Rangers may be able to consummate a deal on their terms.
On TSN, Gord Miller expressed that, according to an NHL source, it’s believed a Rick Nash deal has a “better than 50 percent chance” of happening before the deadline.
