At the New York Rangers’ morning skate, center Brian Boyle—out since Game 5 of the Ottawa Senators series with a concussion—skated for the second straight practice. All signs point to him being good to return for Game 2 tonight at MSG against the Washington Capitals.

The Rangers have stepped up in Boyle’s absence, but will need his exceptional penalty-kill services and faceoff abilities going forward if they want to continue in the playoffs. Caution must always be taken with concussions as they are not an exact medical science, but if Brian Boyle is healthy, he will play.
As site writer Matt Joseph pointed out this morning, the Rangers need Brian Boyle. Tonight might be the night for his return.
