The Rangers are struggling for offense this post season but one of the reasons they are still alive in this post season, and up 3-2 in the series against the Capitals, is because they are getting offensive production from their blue line. Anton Stralman of all people has three goals this year tied for second most on the team.

Marc Staal has even chipped in two goals, while every other defenseman besides Mcdonagh and Bickel has a goal this playoff year.

Rangers are looking for offense anywhere they can find it, and right now the defenseman are doing a great job in that regard. Especially with the Capitals playing tight defensively, and blocking shots it’s very important the Rangers defenseman get the shots to the net. Anton Stralman’s goal yesterday was scored just by getting it on net.

For the Rangers to have continued success in these playoffs they’re going to need continuous production from their defenseman and right now they are getting that production.
