I think Ryan Callahan is injured right now. He isn’t playing to a level people expect him to, and I think it’s due to injury. I believe it to be because the shot that went off his hand in game 6 against the Senators and I don’t think he’s been the same since.

He’s shown flashes of his former self hitting everything in sight, but lately he’s been ineffective with the puck. When he’s been away from the puck I think his game hasn’t suffered, but he can’t make the plays on offense he used to make.

I think the problem is either a finger or his entire right hand. Every time there’s a stoppage in play I see him trying to move his around, and get comfortable. I certainly hope I’m wrong and just being paranoid, but I think he’s injured.

Can the Rangers get by without Callahan at 100%? I certainly hope they can. Not having him at full health is a huge blow to the team. He’s a difference maker when he has the puck and when he doesn’t have it. He’s rarely invisible in a game when healthy. I could go on with what he brings to the club, but I think you get the idea. He’s important to the team.
