Stepan To Finland

Derek Stepan has signed with SM-Liga team KalPa in Finland. He’s going to arrive in Finland tomorrow, and is expected to play their game tomorrow.

The more and more the players leave, the more of a chance the season is lost for good. However, there is still plenty of time to get SOMETHING done. The league starting in January would likely yield 40+ games. The 04-05 season wasn’t cancelled until February. They can still salvage a season.

I however don’t want to see the players make a bad deal. If the players were to cave now, this endless cycle of lockouts will continue. Personally, I’d take losing a whole season if it means I will never see another lockout in my life. Some would say it shouldn’t have to come to that and I agree, but this is reality.
