No New Proposals From NHL Coming

Bill Daly has said today that the NHL is done making proposals and that the league is waiting to see what the players bring to the table. Well this seems bad. It appears the league has grown frustrated of getting their offers denied by the players, so now they want to be the ones to deny the offers. If the league won’t be giving new offers anytime soon, the only way we can have a season is if the league builds off the offer presented by the players soon. I mean these are negotiations right? There’s supposed to be some sort of back and forth in these talks. Right now it’s one side speaks and the other doesn’t listen and vice versa. There’s a disconnect going on here. Here are some questions I leave you to ponder: Does Don Fehr want to change the way CBA negotiations are handled in the sport of hockey forever? If so, would he sacrifice an entire season (or more) to acheive this? Does Gary Bettman want to make a deal at all? Excuse me for asking but there’s been three lockouts under his watch. By the time it’s all set and done, will this be the lockout to end all lockouts? Be sure to follow me on twitter @Bluelinestation
