Cam Talbot Inks New Deal, Kreider Re-called

Yesterday night, the Rangers and Cam Talbot agreed to a one year extension. The new contract will start during the 2014 season. This is when Martin Biron’s contract expires, so there’s a small chance the team views Talbot as the backup goalie of the future.

Chris Kreider was also strangely re-called today from the Whale. Rick Nash did not practice today and Kreider is possibly just a pre-cautionary measure.

I wouldn’t worry about Rick Nash too much, as he hasn’t sustained an injury. John Tortorella described it as a maintenance day for for Nash.
