Rangers Start Off Huge Week With Visit From Jets

The New York Rangers start a huge week in a push to the playoffs.  Holding onto the 8th playoff spot, the Rangers have their work cut out for them.  Having the next 3 games against the Jets and two games against the Crosby-less Penguins, I would be thrilled to see the Rangers get 3 points.  The Jets seem to have the Rangers number and will be a tough matchup tonight in the Garden.

No morning practice this morning leaves us only guessing on what line combinations Torts will roll with to start the game.  What we do know is with Newberry being sent down to the Whale, Powe will be back into the lineup and Lundqvist will be back between the pipes.  Asham will be watching the game from the press box.

Someone needs to call the Charter that the Rangers took when they flew from Philadelphia to Ottawa and see if their offense was located in the lost and found.  After the 5 goal performance, no goals have been scored.   If the Jets score first, it will be highly likely the Rangers won’t find the offense to get the win.  Rangers need to come out hard, fast, and energetic.  Hopefully the morning off will give the boys the energy to come out and knock the Jets in the mouth from the start and get the fans into it immediately.
