Marc Staal still has no timetable to return to action after taking a puck to the eye on March 5. As usual, the Rangers are not releasing any information on the injury or details on Staal’s progression. What I have learned is Staal has begun off ice work outs on a stationary bike and light work outs and will take it from there.
Marc Staal is doing light workouts, stationary bicycles, etc. But no update on how close he might be to returning or even skating.

What is a good sign in Staal’s recovery is he is taking the road trip with the Rangers to Pittsburgh tonight and to Carolina tomorrow. He is not skating yet but is taking the trip to visit the family in Carolina. Staal will not continue on the road trip to Toronto. If he is feeling up to flying, the eye must be feeling alot better and that is always a good thing.
Marc Staal traveling to Carolina 2 then returning 2 NY. Still working out, but point is he isnt on this trip to quickly skate & rejoin team

I will keep you updated on his progress as I find out more information. Lets hope he is back sooner then later.
