It Might Come Down To The Last Day Of The Year

The Rangers yet again find themselves in an awkward position in the standings. They’re currently tied on points with Winnipeg and have a game in hand on them. The Jets also own the tie breaker.

It could be a lot worse of a situation. The Rangers control their own destiny and if they miss the playoffs they would only have themselves to blame.

They’ve been pretty good since the trade deadline and that needs to continue. Henrik Lundqvist has been practically lights out the last dozen or so games so that is good news as well. They’re still not scoring enough, but that’s nothing new. Their power play is back to being absolutely atrocious again too.

Okay enough with the negativity. The Rangers still control their own fate. They’ve been getting their act together the last couple weeks so hopefully that continues to be the case. A win tomorrow and the Rangers are right back on track.
