Rangers Defeat Hawks In 6 games for Fifth Cup

The EA Sports NHL franchise conducted a simulation of this years playoffs on NHL13.  The Rangers went on to defeat the Caps in 7 games followed by a 7 game win over the Penguins.  The Eastern Conference finals matched the Rangers with the Canadians.  The Rangers swept the Canadians and got the opportunity to play for the Cup against the Blackhawks.  The Rangers handled the Blackhawks in 6 games for their 5th Stanley Cup.  Brad Richards is your Conn Smythe winner with 24 points with Nash’s help of 14 goals.  You can read the whole article on the simulation here.

OK, Lets be honest.  That simulation probably isn’t even close to being accurate.  Rangers aren’t scoring goals and the Canadians are self imploding.  The Penguins should be there but who knows.. The Islanders are giving them some cause for concern.

If Richards actually starts playing where he can get 24 points and Nash can score 14 goals, I will not be worried one bit in these playoffs.  The Rangers offense is flat after scoring a league high 52 goals in the month of April.

Game 3 tonight against the Caps at 730 on NBC Sports.
