Vincent Lecavalier (UFA)

After news broke yesterday that the Tampa Bay Lightning bought out their captain Lecavalier, the rumors began to swirl on the social media outlets. Although it may seem like a fantasy, I would love to see this man in Ranger blue next season. He’s everything you want in a player. He brings skill, finesse, and leadership. Not to mention he is only 33 years old. Take the A from Richards and give it to Vinny.

Also, it would be refreshing to see a solid veteran on the team. Somebody who can teach the young forwards, and bring the skill that New York desperately needs.

The bad news is that there are several teams that are also interested in his services. Those teams include Anaheim, Detroit, and Toronto who seems to be getting everybody nowadays.

I know it might seem like a long-shot to get this guy on Broadway, but it can’t hurt to dream right?
