Darren Dreger of TSN reports that Mats Zuccarello, and the Rangers will avoid their arbitration hearing tomorrow by agreeing to a 1 year $1,150,000 deal.

This is a good deal for the Rangers as the sign a player who played really well for the team, showed some upside and improvement from the previous two seasons that the young Norwegian was on the team.

This is another deal where the Rangers want Zuccarello to prove himself. After playing solid for the final half of the season, and in the post season, how will he respond to a full 82 game season.

This is his true test. This could make or break his Rangers career.

Next up, resigning Derek Stepan.
