So, as you are aware I made a nice, and “friendly” shout out to New York Islanders Fansided blog, “Eyes on Isles”  sharing an article they posted about the birth of the team.

I may have put that it’s a “Good bathroom read…”

The “friendly” shoutout

Wait I did, and it really is. Good to get out of the way when you’re going to be in there for however long you’ll be in there for. But, now editor Andy Graziano (father of our co-editor, Andrew) called out Blue Line Station, and wanted a war.

And, yes we do accept. A heated rivalry on ice, will now come to fruition in blog form and personally we cannot wait for this. A house divided, will divide more, but it’s for the love of the sport, and our two teams.

Yes, there are rules, and we will abide by them, because we’re stand up guys, and here they are:

  • Team with the most points in the Metropolitan division, at the end of the regular season.

Simple enough, we can handle that. And we can’t wait. And now for the wager, what does the loser have to do?

  • Losing editors will have to purchase a hat from of the opposing team, and post proof of them wearing it on Twitter and Facebook.
  • Losing senior editors (Shawn Taggart and Andy Graziano), will have to change their Twitter avatar to a picture of the opposing team.

This is for fun, and we cannot wait for it. Just, we want to win, and we’re going to win. Don’t want to give these Islander fans something to brag about. But, we’ll have no problem bragging.

Good luck to Andrew and Rich from Eyes on Isles, will be an interesting season.

Spoiler: The winner has blue in their jersey.

Make sure to follow Andy and Rich on Twitter, two great guys, and two passionate fans.
