Yesterday, we unveiled the greatest Ranger of all time chosen by you, the fans. Thanks to everyone who voted, and keep yourselves on the lookout for future fan voted lists.

Some News…

Henrik Lundqvist, the pride and joy of the current New York Rangers team (ranked 5, in the top ten list) is not in a rush to sign an extension. While stating that he does want to stay in New York, and end his career as a New York Ranger, he doesn’t and never saw the need to really rush and sign an extension before this season, or during the upcoming season. He did state he liked the direction where everything was headed with negotiations, but was not in a rush to sign anything just yet. Is he waiting to see if the direction AV is taking them will change his mind, and will want him to test free agency? Or is he making every Ranger fan worried for nothing? I’m going with the latter, he’s not going to strap the team by forcing them to sign him for 8 years, but I still see when it’s all said and done that he’ll get 6-7 years at the max.

As the days get closer to training camp, and there still is no sign of Derek Stepan and a new contract with the New York Rangers. Yes, this article is dated, but this is just a friendly reminder, that the goal of resigning Stepan by assistant GM Jeff Gorton is and always will be prior to training camp. Everyone keep your pants on it will happen.
