As we observe this cloudy Labor Day here in the Northeast, the NHL isn’t giving us much news to ponder. However, the off-season is almost over. The Traverse City tournament begins Thursday, and the Rangers open up camp next Wednesday. Oh, and NHL 14 comes out next Tuesday as well, for all you video game connoisseurs such as myself.
The Chicago Blackhawks had one of the best seasons in franchise history, even though it was only 48 games. What they achieved was quite remarkable. Because of that feat, every player on that roster got the chance to spend one day with the Cup over the course of this summer. NHL’s feature series “Summer with Stanley” tells their stories: http://www.nhl.com/ice/blog.htm?id=1884&navid=nhl:topheads.
