It’s coming. We are hours away from puck drop. The Traverse City prospect tournament is inching closer, and the Rangers led by Danny Kristo, will be on the ice for the first time today at 3PM against a group of Carolina Hurricane prospects.

The Rangers are looking at these players as possible considerations for fill ins while both Ryan Callahan and Carl Hagelin recover from offseason shoulder surgeries (twins!), and the possibility (not likely going to happen), that Derek Stepan walks and well, you know. The whole season goes kablooey!

But, enough of that, hockey is back, training camp is near – less than a week away. The Rangers first preseason game — against the Devils  a week and a half away. You see we’re getting closer to the puck dropping. We are getting closer for the warriors who risk so much out on the ice to risk it all again.

In fantastic news, Marc Staal is ready to go, like he’s 100% ready to go for the start of the season. You can ask himself, and his two brothers (mainly Jordan), that he’s ready to go, and ready to prove himself as a quality player like he was.  He’ll be wearing a visor — a tinted one, and we’re excited to see him ready to lace it up for the Rangers, and hopefully for team Canada in the Olympics.
