NHL news and notes on this Friday the 13 (SPPOOOOOKYYYY)
The Derek Stepan saga continues, after Glen Sather blasted Stepan’s agent Matt Oates for not “waking up” and realizing that the only deal he’s going to offer is a bridge deal, and that it’s best for him to accept it. Oates lashed back and said that they’ll be okay with a bridge deal, but it’s a huge mistake for the Rangers not to sign Stepan long term. The bridge deal can happen, but the money has to be right. This situation is going to only going to get messier and messier.
Martin Biron has returned to New York, and is expected to be on the ice as on ice training continues for the Rangers. Now what does this mean for Johan Hedberg? He, like many Ranger fans wondering why he was signed in the first place, have no clue what the teams plans are for him, but I expect him to not be offered a formal contract, or to be sent on his way back home as early as today. Hedberg is a very good backup at the right price, but we have our backup in Biron so it would be more of a waste than anything.
Stylecaster.com, was nice enough to ask a real person — Toronto Maple Leafs forward Jake Gardiner on what he thought of Karen Walker’s Spring 2014 collection. It’s a funny an interesting read to see someone who doesn’t seem to know a lot about fashion (he’s no Henrik Lundqvist or Sean Avery) get asked about that same topic. Also, good to see who he feels is a valid womenswear designer.

I’m sure the correct answer to that is that Glen Sather NEVER sleeps.
It's a Rangers sweatshirt kinda day!!
