NHL News and Notes

  • The Florida Panthers really had a packed house for their 2:30PM preseason game against the Nashville Predators. The Panthers went on to swept the set of games.
  • Tim Thomas gets a PTO with the Florida Panthers. Someone made a joke yesterday about this guaranteeing him never having to visit the White House. I wish I was that witty.
  • Damien Brunner finally finds a home, gets a PTO with the New Jersey Devils
  • Jerome Iginla netted two as the Bruins doubled up the Canadiens.
  • The Canucks fall in John Tortorella’s preseason debut as new head coach.
  • The Rangers fall to the Devils 2-1 in the team’s preaseason opener.
