Tough loss last night in Phoenix for the Rangers. Radim Vrbata netted three goals for the Coyotes in a very fast paced game. The Rangers get three days off before they go on to face Los Angeles. They’ll get more time to practice the new system, but there is no need to panic just yet. There are going to be adjustments made, they’re going to be things fine tuned and tinkered. Everything that needs to happen will happen, and the team will be just fine.

Patrick Roy was fined $10,000 by the NHL for his outburst towards Bruce Boudreau at the end of the game against the Ducks on Wednesday night. Roy’s comments “I’ll always stand up for my players.” Referencing the knee on knee that Nathan MacKinnon got. Speaking of MacKinnon, he played real well in his first game of the season, assisting on 2 of the Avalanche’s 6 goals on Wednesday.

The Capitals down 4-1 in the second, came back to tie it, and then win 5-4 in a shootout against the Calgary Flames last night. Alex Ovechkin netted goals 2 and 3 last night.

John Tortorella, dropped his debut with the Cancuks, as the Sharks won 4-1.
