Weekend games continue to roll on throughout the National Hockey League, and so do we here at Blue Line Station. The staff would like to welcome newcomer Michael Davis. Be sure to check out his latest piece on the Rangers’ possible roster decisions!

Now let’s take a look at some quick hits around the NHL:

  • Anaheim Ducks forward Teemu Selanne will visit Winnipeg for the last time in his extraordinary career.
  • Philadelphia Flyers forward Vincent Lecavalier scored his first goal with the team last night against the Montreal Canadiens. It would prove to be ineffective, as the Flyers dropped two points at the Bell Centre.
  • Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chuck Kobasew picked up his second straight game-winning goal in a 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres.
  • Cam Atkinson will now be playing alongside Marian Gaborik and Brandon Dubinsky on the top line for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
  • Tim Thomas surrendered five goals in the Panthers’ 7-0 loss to the St.Louis Blues last night.
