If things could not get harder for the New York Rangers(or even Ryan Callahan who is just coming off shoulder surgery) missing two key players with Rick Nash and Carl Hagelin out, the Rangers will now have to play without Ryan Callahan for 3-4 weeks due to a broken thumb which was said to occur during Wednesday night 2-0 win over the Washington Capitals in the Verizon Center on his final shift blocking a shot. This probably doesn’t sit well with many as the team is now without their best two-way player on the team. Darroll Powe was recalled to fill in the empty roster spot, but it’ll be interesting to see how Alain Vigneault handles this with his line-ups. Callahan has three goals in five games this season, two of which are on the powerplay.
