The Breakout: Rangers Vs Blue Jackets Pre-Game 11/7/13

It’s a short turn-around for the New York Rangers (7-8-0, 14 pts), because tonight they face-off against the Columbus Blue Jackets (5-9-0, 10 pts) in the second game of a back-to-back and will be welcomed by some friendly faces. Marian Gaborik, Brandon Dubinsky and Artem Anisimov, all former Rangers, will be in the line-up tonight to play against their former team.

Derick Brassard is also a former Blue Jacket and he will be welcomed back to where his career first began. Rick Nash, another former Blue Jacket was supposed to make his return tonight, but because of a concussion suffered back on October 8th against the Sharks, he is not in the line-up for tonight’s game.

It will be interesting to see how New York responds to their former teammates, along with Columbus. Will we see gritty hits and hard-fought play? Most definitely. I for one would love to see a fight between Dubinsky and Derek Dorsett, but we will have to wait to see what the future holds.
