Rangers Blueshirts Daily: 12/26/13

Welcome back from Christmas! We hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday; for those of you celebrating today, Happy Boxing Day and Happy Kwanzaa! Today is a light news day; the teams are all still out on break. Yesterday we saw many holiday tweets from several of the Rangers’ players. If you missed them, they were all retweeted by the @NYRangers. Another good holiday tweet came from Paul Bissonette, @BizNasty2.0, of the Phoenix Coyotes.

If you are in the mood to see a replay of Mats Zuccarello’s shoot out goal in slow motion this is pretty awesome.

The lines have been a mess this year until very recently. This is a good look at line chagnes and shuffling.

Here’s an interesting readd to get you ready for the next month of hockey, before the Olympic break.

If you are a poll type of person, this is a rather interesting one. (I thought so anyway)

I got a good chuckle from reading this one about suspected player wishlist items.

Here’s a list of Twitter accounts I would recomend if you aren’t already following them (tweet and tell them we sent you!):

@bluelinestation (of course)

@NYRangers (official team account)

@Jaygeemsg

@JimCerny

@AGrossRecord

@NYRangersZone

All of our writers: @a_graz24 @Saucy_C @kennybelvin @Willc22

And a couple others: @AndersonEd27 @GirardiGod

Hopefully this gets you through until tomorrow, when we will watch the team from DC. Game time is set for 7:00pm and I will be tweeting live from the game as much as I can (get a little distracted when I see hockey). If you will be in the DC area and are attending the game let us know!

    I hope the Rangers took something from their last two games. I wanna see them jump all over the Caps. We beat them 2-0 earlier on in the season but now they’re playing their best hockey. Nash has to start scoring and Stepan needs to play like the guy that was asking for a huge contract last summer and the guy that scored at almost a point per game pace.

      I think the biggest question is going to be which goalie plays tomorrow against the Caps. So far, this season, we are 1-1 against the caps so tomorrow will be a huge game for us. Nash- is one player I gripe about all the time, he’s just as hit or miss as Gaby even though his overall averages are decent. If I was the GM I would have let Stepan sit the whole season out, he’s over paid. Boyle is better on face offs than Steps.
