Ranger Blueshirts Daily: 1/5/14

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Good Morning all you lovelies! It’s the morning after an amazing win and it’s still the weekend. Here are your links for today. Enjoy them with your waffles and orange juice.

Here is the official recap of last night’s game and the video highlights. Enjoy the touchdown the Rangers posted. Not a bad night of play for the team. Here’s hoping they can do that more often. It seems the southern born Cam Talbot plays his strongest against the Canadian teams, that’s not a bad thing!

Also in last night’s game, we saw Chris Kreider drop mitts with Dion Phaneuf, dubbed “Princess Phaneuf” by John Scott of the Buffalo Sabres. Evidently Phaneuf doesn’t take kindly to getting checked in a contact sport. It wasn’t much of a fight but I think the message was loud and clear; Kreider is not going to be pushed around.

The other side of the fence said it the best really. Ranger fans also know how it feels to be on the other side of a score like last night.

Pat Leonard does a great job breaking down Brian Boyle and his value. For those who watch the games but don’t really see what is happening you may want to read and really look at what Leonard says about Boyle. For those who don’t know, Boyle is at the end of his current contract, which pays him at  $1.7 million average annual value. It would shock me to the extreme if he isn’t resigned for about $2 million per year for a few years.

I hope you have a great day enjoying such a great display of teamwork from our Rangers last night.

Cam Talbot is not southern born…he is from Canada. He played college hockey at the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
