Ranger Blueshirts Daily: 1/7/14

It’s morning again and it’s the day after a really horribly loss. Has anyone gotten over that horrible call yet? How about the shoot out? The former Rangers know how to beat Hank and they did just that.

There is a lot of news already today about Olympic team selections with Sweden and Norway both chosing our New York Rangers to play with them. We are still waiting to hear about team Canada. Stay tuned for Articles about all the Olympic teams and the NHL players who will be competing in Socchi. You can see all the rosters via links in this article about Mats Zuccarello on Team Norway.

If you are curious about what’s been going on with the AHL Rangers’ affiliate, Hartford Wolf Pack you can read this little piece from the Hartford Current about the most recent game.

In case you missed it, Rick Nash scored two power play goals last night. Brian Boyle scored his second goal in two games, and Chris Kreider was thrown out of the game for a hit on Fedor Tyutin that was rather weak in my opinion. I’ve watched the replay several times and Kerdier made every attempt to stop in the same way Tyutin had the ability to keep his face off the glass with the arm that was already at face level. Just to remind you, a shoulder to the face from Tyutin was the reason Taylor Pyatt sat out with a concussion. You can read the post game last night to see the gif of the replay and you can also read about it from the New York Daily News.

Last night was also Rangers’ calendar night at the arena. I can’t find any links that show pictures but I can tell you I saw that Ryan Callahan is January and July is both Boyle and Pyatt. Do you know who is on each month? Let us know!

Have a great day!!
