Good morning New York Rangers’ fans!! How does it feel winning against the Devils yesterday at Yankee Stadium? For the first time in his career, Martin Brodeur, allowed the Rangers to score five goals against him. Then We upped the ante and made it six goals. Before the game, Brodeur was all smiles and happy; after the game he was quoted as saying it was the worst ice he’s ever played on. Sounds like someone can’t admit he didn’t play well enough.
In case you missed it: we had a bet going between our site and the guys over at Pucksandpitchforks.com with regards to th end result of the game. Since they lost they had to write a post game review glorifying the Rangers. It really is a great article so PLEASE go read it. Now that was their side of the deal. Our side of the deal was that the loser would have to change their twitter profile picture. Please go visit them @Pitchforkedpuck and tell them how great Brandon’s edit looks on their account. They have been great sports about this over there so lets keep it friendly; even if they are Devils’ fans.
Yesterday’s game was a huge step for the sport of hockey. The excitement spilled over to other sports as well. With the game being held at Yankee Stadium, Major League Baseball was obviously involved. I found a great article written from their side of the sports world.
Yesterday, several guys scored goals and of those goals and goal scorers, Mats Zuccarello shined bright. Last season Zuccarello was nicknamed “The Hobbit” and he went with it while smiling. Yesterday, he became “The Bronx Zucc” and Newsday ran a great story about him and his contributions.
Mondays are never as bad after a win. Especially after a win like yesterday. So go forth and be merry. Bask in the glory of the day.
