New York Rangers’ Blueshirts Daily: 2/2/14

Good Afternoon Ranger fans! It’s a slow news day between games, but every once in a while we’ve got to give the team a rest. There’s always a little something going on in Rangerstown so here’s what we’ve found for you.

Yesterday’s Rangers’ practice was very unconventional. In honor of the Super Bowl today, the team played “Ice Bowl” at practice, complete with a football. Associate Coach, Scott Arniel, was credited with the idea. You can check out the post game recap and highlights from Blueshirts United.

Henrik Lundqvist released pictures of his new helmet for the Olympics. It was painted by @artofdave and looks great. What do you think?

Pat Leonard seems to get some of the best quotes out of the team. Marc Staal wins the internet with this one.

Yesterday the Hartford Wolf Pack beat the Albany Devils in front of a very large audience. Catch the recap of our AHL Rangers to see how they are paying. The Pack is back in action on Tuesday as they host the Adirondack Phantoms.

There’s your daily news. Sorry it’s late but we can’t do much about the inter workings of the interwebs and fancy machines. We do have some other great stories coming out for you today as well. Stay tuned for more excitement.
