New York Rangers’ Blueshirts Daily: 2/8/14

Good Morning New York Ranger Fans!!! It’s the morning after a HUGE win and it’s the weekend so what could be better? The Rangers beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in a shoot out handing them their first shoot out loss of the year. The Olympic break has now begun for the Rangers and so our news and articles will also segue into Olympic coverage. The games in Sochi, Russia are underway! Here are today’s links.

The first place Penguins have a commanding points lead over the rest of the division so it’s no surprise that they may feel a little miffed over their loss last night. Here’s their side of the story.

Yesterday was the Olympic roster freeze deadline. Obviously, Ryan Callahan didn’t move to another team. So the captain returns to the Rangers post Olympic break. This doesn’t mean Sather has to stop working the phones, just that an official move can’t be made.

The Hartford Wolf Pack played in Norfolk last night. They were defeated 1-0 in a very close game.  Here’s the recap.
