Rangers' Blueshirt Daily: 2/28/14

It’s the morning after game day and another huge win for the Rangers! The momentum continues, Cam Talbot looked great, and Derick Brassard kept his point streak going! It’s good to be back to normal hockey season again.

The Rangers beat the Chicago Blackhawks, and the referees last night despite everything going on off the ice. J.T. Miller filled in nicely for Mats Zuccarello, Ryan Callahan played his game, as did Dan Girardi, and Brassard netted his fourth goal in five games for nine points in his last seven games. Here is a run down on everything.

Are you curious to know what our friends who cover the Blackhawks had to say about last night’s game? Well check it out here and leave them some love. Try not to burn them with too many backup goalie jokes.

Speaking of backup goalie comments. Here is a press release that is short and sweet. What else is there to say really? Our back up goalie was 11.6 seconds away from shutting out the reigning Stanley Cup Champions. How about that great drafting… oh wait, Cam Talbot wasn’t drafted!

Hockey players are widely known to have big hearts and be great with fans around them. Though still young, Chris Kreider took some time to talk with kids. His interview went a little something like this. Remember Kreider’s interview at Yankee Stadium with Jim Cerny? Well, this just shows how much Kreider is enjoying life right now.

There it is, your daily news and links. Enjoy your day and keep on smiling! The Rangers beat the Blackhawks twice in two months; once with each goalie.
