Hi! I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to write for Blue Line Station. A little about me, I’m Ashley and I’m 24 years old. I grew up on Long Island and still live here. I’m almost done with my graduate degree in Autism at Dowling College. My undergraduate degrees are from Dowling as well (early childhood, elementary and special education).

I’m so glad to be a part of a fan centered blog and that I can profess my love for the New York Rangers! I have been a New York Ranger fan since I was five years old. I still remember the first game I went to with my dad. I was seven years old and the Rangers played the Pittsburgh Penguins; the Rangers got the 7-1 victory. From there my love has grown immensely. I was lucky enough to meet a handful of the players this year; which pretty much made me the happiest girl around!

Brandon Dubinsky used to be my absolute favorite player. I was so sad to see him traded to the Blue Jackets, but I’m happy to see how well he is doing. Mats Zuccarello has taken over the spot for my favorite New York Ranger. I think it is obvious when he plays that he plays with his heart and soul. He’s scrappy and willing to work hard to continue to get better. Meeting him in person was probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to do!

I am looking forward to see where the rest of the season can take the New York Rangers and their fans. I’m also excited to see where this blogging journey takes me as well.
