Rangers' Roundup: 3/7/14

It’s Game Day Ranger Fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Rangers are getting ready to play the Carolina Hurricanes tonight in a game that should be really good! The ‘Canes just got back from that well known “Tour of California.”

As Ryan Callahan took the ice last night in his new Tampa Bay Lightning uniform, the trade became visually finalized. In the wake of the moves, an interesting perspective came to light, do you think you can forget about Callahan? Here is something you might find interesting.

The Rangers don’t have long to move past the trade and recover from heavy playing time in the Olympics. Here is Pat Leonard’s roundup of all things Rangers to this point.

Newly acquired defenseman, Raphael Diaz meets up with the Rangers in Carolina and will be ready to play tonight against the Hurricanes. According to the Rangers’ official twitter account Diaz will wear number 4; Michael Del Zotto’s old number. That didn’t take long. I’m a bit shocked they didn’t use 44, vacated by Steve Eminger Last year, or 97, vacated by Matt Gilroy last year. Is the organization sending a message?

Mats Zuccarello is a game time decision for today after being upgraded to “day-to-day” status just a couple of days ago. Check the report here.

That should be enough to get you ready for tonight’s game. Remember that we will have your pre and post game reports as well as a few other great features running today. Let’s get ready for the game and cheer on our team! These are two very important points tonight, and it’s three of four Staal brothers on the ice!
