Good afternoon New York Rangers’ fans! We are switching things up today, after the early game, by bringing you the news a bit later than usual. If you didn’t see this afternoon’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, you can catch the pre and post game coverage on our site.
Yesterday, one of our former Rangers made the news by reuniting with one of his biggest fans from New York. Michael Del Zotto introduced the Rangers’ fans to Liam Traynor during the “24/7 Rangers/Flyers: Road To The Winter Classic”. NHL.com ran a story about the friendship the two share. Rangers’ fans have mixed emotions and a wide array of opinions about the young defenseman, Del Zotto. Regardless of how you feel about him on the ice, this is a feel good story that shows, not only the humanity of a player, but the drive of an amazing fan base.
Want to thank everyone who donated money to help send Liam and his family to Nashville. It truly means so much to me! #reunited

Mats Zuccarello returned to the Rangers’ lineup against the Carolina Hurricanes and made it clear what the team was missing. He assisted Carl Hagelin on the empty net goal at the end of the game and continued his point scoring run in his appearances, though it isn’t officially still a point streak due to missing games with an injury.
Here is a nice piece featuring a Martin St. Louis radio interview discussing the trade and his reasons for wanting to leave Tampa Bay for only New York Rangers. The Team Canada roster snub is not the only reason he wanted to move back to New York, he wanted to be closer to his family as much as he could, given his playing schedule.
It’s been a great day, even though we lost an hour of sleep last night. We are still looking for writers to add to our staff so if you are interested, check this out. We would love to add you to our staff! Enjoy your evening and smile, it’s a Rangers’ win for lunch.
