Good afternoon New York Rangers fans! We’re in between game days, which just makes today’s poll that much more exciting! Today’s question is an interesting one, will Chris Kreider end up having a better rookie season than Rick Nash had?
As we all know, even though Kreider played regular season games last season, the 2013-2014 season is considered his rookie season. Currently, Kreider has 16 goals, 18 assists for 34 points. In Nash’s rookie season he had 17 goals, 22 assists, for 39 points on the season. It’s worth noting that the team Nash started off in Columbus was not as good as the Rangers team is now. That being said, it’s also worth noting that Kreider has found a mentor and friend in Nash, which could also be a factor in Kreider’s offensive production. Everyone around the National Hockey League knows that Kreider has the potential to be a star, which is why it’s appropriate to compare his rookie season to a player with the caliber of Rick Nash. Kreider has the size and the speed to become a huge offensive threat, so will he put up the points to prove it?
So Ranger fans, what do you think? With just 17 games left in the regular season, can Chris Kreider surpass Rick Nash’s rookie season when it’s all said and done? Vote in the poll below!
