Rangers' Roundup: 3/10/14

Good Morning Rangers’ fans! I know it’s Monday, but everyone should be smiling after that amazing win yesterday! The Rangers shut out the Detroit Red Wings and Henrik Lundqvist set some amazing career milestones.

While the Rangers, especially Lundqvist, were celebrating their third win of the season over the Red Wings, Detroit was not at all happy with their sub-par performance. In addition to Lundqvist’s 300th career win and 49th career shut out, Dominic Moore’s assist on Brian Boyle’s goal was his 200th career NHL point.

There were rumors floating around that Rangers’ defenseman, Anton Stralman turned down a contract extension with the Rangers. It was buried into a post from a certain report, from a certain source; “Brooksie”. Yesterday, Stralman’s agent stated, via email, that no such event transpired.

While Justin Falk has been a healthy scratch since the end of December for the Rangers, he still managed to hit the news for turning down the opportunity to play a few games in the AHL. It also looks like there will be another Rangers baby in the near future.

As expected, the Rangers were all dressed to the nines for their recent “Casino Night” at Madison Square Garden. Check out this video recapping who looked the best and who wasn’t quite as posh as Hank.

Now go spread some Rangers’ love everyone. Smile big and tell everyone you see how great your team is. The Rangers take the ice again tomorrow night against the Carolina Hurricanes, once more. It’s another family affair for three of the four Staal brothers.
