Rangers Daily Poll 3/13/14

Good afternoon New York Rangers fans! First I would like to apologize for missing yesterday’s poll I know how much you guys love it! However, today we’re back and looking forward to getting things going again! Today’s question is a hot topic as usual, do the Rangers miss former head coach John Tortorella?

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

In the offseason, the Rangers and the Vancouver Canucks saw a coach swap that saw John Tortorella head to Vancouver, and saw former Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault head to New York City. Currently, the Canucks are 19th in the league with 70 points and  a 30-28-10 record and are four points out of a playoff position. The Rangers, are 11th in the league with 74 points and a 35-27-4 record and are in second place in their division. The Canucks are 29th in the league in goals scored with 156 and 13 in the league in goals allowed with 176 allowed. To compare, the Rangers are tied for 18th in the league in goals with the Detroit Red Wings with 168, and are 9th in the league in goals allowed with 163. Now, the statistics all seem to point to Vigneault being the better coach, but it can be debated that with the lack of Tortorella the Rangers have lost any claim of being a “tough” hockey team.

So Ranger fans, what do you think? Do the Rangers miss John Tortorella? Vote in the poll below!
