A little over a week has passed since this year’s trade deadline and the New York Rangers managed to complete the trade that was feeding rumors around the league. It is well documented that Ryan Callahan was moved to the Tampa Bay Lightning with two picks in exchange for Martin St. Louis – who wanted out of Tampa Bay.
We have seen St. Louis play in a New York Rangers sweater for five games at this point. In his seconds game he registered an assist on 7 March against the Carolina Hurricanes; his only point to date. He has blocked two shots, tallied one hit, won one face-off out of four and is a -1 after five games.
Callahan is now playing on a line with Valtteri Filppula and registered his first point, a goal, last night as a “Bolt”. In four games, with the Lightning, Callahan has registered a total of one goal and three assists. He is a plus three with 13 hits and three blocks, and he won all three of his face-offs.
Now personally I’m wondering where this came from because Callahan did well in New York but not like this. The poll question I’m posing to you today is this:
Who won the trade between the New York Rangers and the Tampa Bay Lightning?
